We Bring Partners Together Because Everyone Needs A Chance
Our integrative approach meets the needs of students within their urban context by forming a discipleship community with students who have been overlooked or considered to be the invisible ones. We bring partners together to form holistic support, serving alongside students and their families; not over them. We believe everyone deserves a chance to be seen, to be loved, to be discipled, to have voice and to be hopeful about their futures. We invite you to join the New Life S.A.Y. Yes! Center family. We are the after-school program with over 19 years of service to students in the English Avenue and Vine City communities.
Spring Session Academic Tutor Orientation: Join us on Saturday, January 26th from 10:00 a.m. - 12 noon or on Sunday, January 27th from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. to volunteer as an academic tutor for our Spring 2019 Session. Tutors must attend an orientation session and pass a background check to volunteer.
Twelve Months of Giving
In 2019 we are beginning a new partnership inviting all of our friends to invest in making our ministry to English Avenue and Vine City students sustainable. We don’t charge our students or their families for any of our services because the median household annual income for families in our community is $15,100/year. As we prayed about how we could continue to grow our network of support the Lord gave us this twelve month generosity plan. Each month we will highlight an experience that we provide for our students and ask our friends and supporters to help us cover the cost. Our sessions last for 13 week and some giving opportunities will be to cover a cost of a week of experiences, some will cover one time experiences and some cover every evening experiences. We invite you to bring life transforming experiences to well deserving students
The Gift of Nutrition
You can give the gift of nutrition and help bring good food to our ‘food desert.’ Each evening during the school year, we feed our students at the New Life S.A.Y. Yes! Center a healthy, home-cooked meal. These meals expand their palate beyond packaged or fast foods and encourages them to try new foods that are nutritious, ensuring they eat at least one well-rounded meal each day. By donating $150 you provide one of the 52 nutritious meals needed for our students during our Spring Session. Click here to donate: http://www.covchurchgiving.com/p-3185-student-meals.aspx
