Senior Pastor - Rev. Timothy Rodgers
Pastor Tim has been ministering at New Life since 1999, serving as Senior Pastor since 2002. He received his Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, as well as a Masters in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota. Through preaching, teaching and leadership, Pastor Tim loves to nurture the diverse New Life family in their life together in Christ. Pastor Tim participates in God’s restoring work in English Avenue as a member of the Historic Westside Cultural Arts Council, the neighborhood Public Safety Committee, and the Neighborhood Association. Pastor Tim and his wife Andrea live in English Avenue with their two sons. For renewal, Pastor Tim enjoys walking or hiking with his family, windsurfing or playing almost any sport with his energetic boys.
Associate Pastor - Rev. Jonathan Hovey
Pastor Jonathan has been attending New Life Covenant Church since 2009. He was called as Associate Pastor in 2014. Pastor Jonathan has a bachelor of arts in Religion and Philosophy from Roberts Wesleyan College and a Masters of Divinity degree from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. He was ordinated to Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Covenant Church in 2018
Pastor Jonathan preaches, teaches adult and kids Sunday school. He is interested in intentional Christian community and how the gospel engages the world in a transformative way. In addition to ministry activities, Pastor Jonathan is a full-time cabinet maker and relaxes by hiking, biking. Pastor Jonathan and his wife Libby have lived in the English Ave neighborhood since 2012.
